Should delivery costs be included on quotations?

  • To continue to provide participants with the best value and deliver a seamless online redemption process, we are allowing the inclusion of online delivery costs as part of the Cyclescheme Certificate value. Please note, this includes mail order, as this also requires the delivery of the bike and/or equipment.
  • To summarise, stores who offer a delivery service can include delivery charges in a customer's certificate request.
  • We've detailed below how this looks for a customer as part of their savings package:
    • Bike £599.99
    • Bike Guard £18.99
    • Shipping of Bicycles £37.99
    • Total £656.97
    • In this example, you would apply for a certificate value of £656.97.
  • If you are quoting in store and shipping is the chosen route for delivery, please add the cost as part of the quotation so that the customer can include this as part of their certificate value.
  • How does your customer record the postage fees during the application process?
    • Your customer can add the cost under the ‘accessories’ heading during the Cyclescheme application process.
  • Can delivery be paid for separately if the cost was missed off of the certificate?
    • Yes (although the preferred method is to include it from the offset.)
